It wasn't the UK basketball teams sweating on Memorial Coliseum's basketball court last weekend - but it was just as athletic and just as inspiring. UK hosted the national championships of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association for two days of intense competition between eight teams pursuing the Divisions I and II titles.

Jeff Glasbrenner of the Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks grabbed a rebound during the National Wheelchair Basketball Association's Division I national championship Saturday, held at Memorial Coliseum. The Mavericks went on to win the championship 90-75 over the Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks.

John Farmer's hands are blistered and worn after his team, the Alberta Northern Lights, played the Denver Wheelchair Mavericks for the NWBA Division II national championship. The Northern Lights won the championship for the fourth time in a row.
