WHEN: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 25, 26 & 27, 2007 - 8:30AM-5:00PM each day (LUNCH PROVIDED)
WHERE: Louisville, International Convention Center - 221 4th Street - 40202
WHAT: Spina Bifida Association National Conference-Kids Camp
Wheelchair Sports Training, Demonstrations and lunch discussions with Children with Spina Bifida and their siblings ages 7-14. SPONSORSHIP MONEY GOES TO KWAA. Suggested sports include wheelchair basketball, tennis, fencing and handcycling. We will have some equipment on hand to use for these sessions but welcome any additional sports equipment you can bring. This event is a 3-day event during the week so I know some people will only be able to help for a few hours on only one or two days but please let me know so we can get you signed up ASAP.
HELP NEEDED: Help is needed from athletes, coaches, instructors, etc. for any or all wheelchair sports such as basketball, tennis, handcycling, fencing and recruitment of new or potential athletes. I know the wheelchair fencers are in Miami at competition but if any of the remaining fencing students or parents in town familiar with teaching fencing to athletes in wheelchairs can help out that would be GREAT!
