The Southern Parkway 1-mile and 8K run/walk event is fast approaching. Please find a registration form attached below. We hope to see you there for a fun filled evening in the gorgeous Southern Parkway area. Please share the attached brochure with anyone you think might be interested in participating as well.
There is a 1-Mile course for running or walking and a new 8K course has been added this year through beautiful Iroquois Park for anyone interested in a course longer than a mile. Lots of opportunity to experience 'hilly terrain' in Iroquois Park for those of you who love that sort of thing!
There is a 1-Mile Doggie Dash/Walk and a Dog Fashion show too if you are interested. ALL proceeds from the race benefit the Kentucky Wheelchair Athletics Association and the Louisville Metro Parks-Adapted Leisure Activities Program. Both of these programs help to support the recreation and leisure interests of individuals with disabilities.
If you aren't interested in participating in the event and would like to volunteer we are still looking for around 12 people to help at water stations (7:30pm-11pm), registration (4:30pm-9pm) and along the 8K race course to call out times as runners/walkers pass (7:30pm-11pm). You will be trained on all of these areas. Just let me know so we can get you set up. Thanks to all and I hope to see you there.
