The Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky Organization is proud to sponsor the 12th Annual Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky Pageant. Contestants must be female, U.S Citizens between the ages of 21-60; must utilize wheelchairs for all their mobility outside of their homes, must be capable and willing to advocate for the Disability community within the state of Kentucky.
The Board of Directors for the Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky Program is looking for contestants for this year’s pageant. The Kentucky program holds a state pageant each year to choose an accomplished woman and gives her the opportunity to travel the state spreading the message of achievement and advocacy.
The mission of the Ms. Wheelchair America Program Inc. is to provide an opportunity for women of achievement, ages 21 to 60, who utilize wheelchairs to successfully educate and advocate for individuals with disabilities.
Unlike the Miss America Pageant, the Ms. Wheelchair America program is in no way a beauty contest. It is instead a competition to select the most accomplished and articulate spokesperson for the millions of disabled Americans. The selected titleholder must be able to communicate both the needs and accomplishments of her constituency to the general public, the business world and the legislature when the opportunity arises.
