Summer 2005 US/Japan Leadership and Disability Exchange Program
Focusing on leadership through international volunteerism and cultural exchange, this program will provide a cross-Disability, cross-cultural leadership experience for participants interested in leadership and disability rights. Our programs often include a homestay experience, disability culture and networking, leadership workshops, and cross-cultural experiences including health, education, employment, gender issues, and recreation.
MIUSA strives to organize programs that include people with and without disabilities and people of diverse cultural backgrounds. People with disabilities, from cultural minority backgrounds and inexperienced international travelers are encouraged to apply. American Sign Language interpreters will be provided for all program activities.
