Membership dues are used by SCIAK to further the various agendas by:
(1) providing resource information about services/programs related to spinal cord injury and other disabilities within the State of Kentucky with links to services nationally and internationally;
(2) creating networking opportunities for individuals with spinal cord injury or disabilities and their families to meet others affected by disability who live in their geographical region of the state;
(3) facilitating the development and support for wheelchair athletes/athletics in Kentucky; and
(4) supporting the presence of a lobbying effort in the Kentucky Legislature advocating for funding and legislation supporting the needs of individuals with spinal cord injury and other disabilities. Corporate members will further benefit from increased product awareness among practitioners and others in the disability community.
